In wandering the streets Sunday for rice, at the height of Veronese countryside, we landed on the recommendation of his uncle Stephen, in the village of Canton, Ronco all'Adige where it has been recently renovated a temple dedicated to San Francesco di Paola. It is an architectural masterpiece dated 1852, a private chapel round included in the scope of Camozzini villa.
The facade is simple, has a porch of an almost neo-classical simplicity, the pediment shows the figure of the saint in adoration. The interior is very charming, it is striking how in such a small space has been recreated many different spaces in a clever play on volumes that line the chapel with a statue of San Francesco di Paola, the circular central area dominated by the statues, one front side of Santa Teresa and San Carlo Borromero, the top bounded by large rectangular panels painted some of the most famous scenes of the miracles of the saint and then four small rooms which are accessible to the corner of the artfully decorated wooden doors.
with pleasure that I discovered in this country on the first Sunday of August the festival is held in Canton dedicated to St. Francis of Paola, festival organized by the "San Francesco di Paola".
