I write this "post" just back from the Christmas lunch at Osteria da NLC Charon. The inn is located a short walk from Villa Pisani at Stra, situated in a picturesque landscape along the river Brenta, now made even more evocative of snow fell in the last few hours. Inside is a cozy and rustic with working fireplace, exposed beams and straw chairs. The dishes are related to Venetian tradition, with special attention to seasonality and product quality. Today's menu was not the same for all these choices today:
Starters:
- Mixed fish (cod, sardines in saor, octopus, Schio, polenta, carpaccio of tuna) (excellent)
- pie with ricotta and vegetables
First:
- Macaroni with scampi and zucchini tasty (delicious)
- Bigoli
Anchovy Sauce - Fish soup broth with fish pieces
- boatman's Spaghetti with prawns radicchio and
Seconds:
- Three of cod fish, and Vicenza in tocio (superlative)
- Mixed fried with shrimp, squid, cuttlefish, squid pieces, vents, shrimp, canestrei rings.
- Liver venetian cut into chunks and cooked in a pan with lots of onion
- Mix in sauce with fried fish marinated in onion and
Borders:
- Vegetable cooked (really tasty)

Sweets:
- grandmother's cake with custard (excellent)
- fruit tart
Wines:
- Sylvaner, Brolettino
